I offer English-to-German literary translation as well as translation editing for already translated manuscripts.

Especially in fiction, tone and atmosphere matter just as much as accuracy.

Because readers should focus on the story and its characters — not on awkward phrasing or unnatural dialogue.

Translation Editing

When editing translations, I pay close attention to:

  • natural flow,

  • tone and atmosphere,

  • character voice,

  • readability,

  • consistency,

  • and language that feels authentic to German readers.

  • For translations, I translate the manuscript from English into German myself.

    For translation editing, I revise and refine an already translated manuscript.

  • I currently translate exclusively from English into German.
